On 24 September 2026, Maria Tsangaridou of our office spoke on Alpha News about the Nikolaou and Others v. Cyprus case, following the final judgment of the European Court of Human Rights on 21 September 2026, after the dismissal of the Respondent State’s request for referral to the Grand Chamber.

The case concerned the State’s refusal to return expropriated land to the Applicants, despite the land having remained unused for more than 30 years and the absence of a continuing public-interest purpose.
