Directive 2019/790: Copyright in the Single Digital Market
On 31 October 2019, Achilleas Demetriades and Nicoletta Epaminonda spoke at an event organised by the Cyprus Copyright Association (Ένωση Δικαιωμάτων Πνευματικής Ιδιοκτησίας) on the DSM Directive. Tatiana-Eleni Sinodinou chaired.
International Conference on the “Republic of Cyprus and International Law”
The Hellenic Society of International Law and International Relations, together with the Law Department of the University of Cyprus, organised an international conference on the “Republic of Cyprus and International Law”. Natasa Iakovou and Pantelitsa Evagorou of our office attended, and Achilleas Demetriades participated as a speaker, giving a presentation on the Immovable Property Commission.
Labour Law Seminar
Pantelitsa Evagorou of our office attended a seminar organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Labour Law.

On 15/16 October 2019, Michalis Fieros and George Taoushanis of our office attended this year’s Digital Agenda CY, one of the biggest tech conferences in the Mediterranean.
Seminar on DSM Directive
Our office, together with the Cyprus University of Technology and the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, organised an event on 16 October 2019 on the DSM Directive. Achilleas Demetriades and Nicoletta Epaminonda of our office spoke on Article 14 and Article 17 of the Directive respectively.
