Access to Environmental Justice and the Protection of Environmental Defenders
On 8 February 2024, a conference on “Access to Environmental Justice and the Protection of Environmental Defenders” was co-organised by the Ministry of Agriculture (Department of Environment), the Commissioner for the Environment, the Law Department of the University of Cyprus, the Federation of Environmental Organisations of Cyprus and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Our office would like to thank the co-organisers for this vital and productive conference, and we are pleased to have contributed through our colleague Natasa Iakovou’s presentation on “Obstacles to the Effective Exercise of Environmental Defenders’ Rights: An Empirical Approach”.
