Copyright Law

Copyright is the statutory right to stop others from copying, or exploiting in any other way, original works without permission from the owner of such rights. In Cyprus, copyright protection is set out in the Copyright Laws of 1976 to 1993 (as amended).

Works may be, amongst others, artistic, literary, music recordings, broadcasts, or computer software.

As in many other countries, no official registry exists and no registration requirements must be met in relation to such works.

Given our broad experience in this field, we can be of assistance in all aspects pertaining to copyright matters.
